Honouring Craft, Honouring People

At Dew & Dawn, we partner with a small, family-run workshop in the heart of Jaipur’s historic Johari BazaarJohari meaning jeweller, and bazaar meaning market. It’s a vibrant, colourful centre filled with jewellery shops, textile houses, and a spirit of timeless craftsmanship.

Our workshop has been in the jewellery trade for over 35 years. Once a much larger operation, the family chose to downsize during COVID, now focusing on intentional, small-scale production from their conjoined workshop and office.

Today, the team consists of just 6–8 artisans at a time. Many of them come from families who have been making jewellery for four or five generations, each bringing their own unique skillset and artistry to the pieces they create. Upon joining the workshop, artisans are invited to train across different aspects of jewellery making—giving them the space to refine their craft and explore the parts of the process craftsmanship that they may have not explored before.

At the heart of it all is care. The wellbeing of our artisans always comes first.

Cultural holidays and local festivals are honoured, safe working conditions are upheld, and a deep culture of mutual respect runs through the workshop—from its founder to every artisan

Ruby regularly visits the workshop to spend time with the team, observe the craft, and ensure every person is being treated with the respect they deserve.
