A little guide to doing things gently.
At the beginning of May, I spent about a week in Jaipur working closely with our jewellery partners and artisans—collaborating, creating, and shaping the next pieces that will soon become part of Dew & Dawn.
While the week was rich with creativity and connection, I also made sure to take a few days just for myself—to restore, reflect, and gather inspiration.
Travel is beautiful, energising, and expansive—but it can also take a lot out of you. So I moved slowly. I didn’t try to fit in everything. I visited just a few special places, and spent time really being there.
So here’s my gentle guide to a few days of slow travel in Jaipur—in case you ever find yourself in this magical city and want to experience it in a softer, more spacious way.
Save this blog for later or share it with a friend who has a travel plans on the cards.
What to See
These are two of my absolute favourite museums in Jaipur. They’re small in size but full of richness and beauty. I recommend setting aside a couple of hours for each.
Nila House Museum
A modern, light-filled space with beautiful exhibitions on textiles, block printing, and natural dyeing. They occasionally host workshops—check their website beforehand to see what's on.
Amrapali Museum
A quiet gem in the heart of the city, this museum houses an incredible private collection of jewellery from across India. A must-visit for anyone drawn to craft, adornment, and history.
Phool Mandi (Flower Market)
An early morning visit to Jaipur's bustling flower market is a sensory experience unlike any other. Fragrant marigolds, roses, and jasmine spill from every corner, creating a vibrant start to your day.

Where to Eat
Annapoorna
A little South Indian gem in the middle of Jaipur, a must-try for breakfast or lunch. Order the masala dosa, upma, and of course, a steaming cup of masala chai.
The Johri
Tucked away in a peaceful heritage haveli, The Johri is one of my go-to spots for a slow lunch or dinner. Favourites include the paneer butter masala, soya chaat, palak patta chaat, butter naan, and don’t skip the dark chocolate gulab jamun. They also serve some tasty innovative cocktails or mocktails!
Where to Shop
Bapu Bazaar
A vibrant, bustling market where you can spend hours wandering. There’s a mix of everything—textiles, bangles, everyday Indian wear, and little gems hidden in plain sight.
Tip: If you need a break, pop into a nearby café for chai and a moment to recharge. One of my favourites in this area is Cafe Agora, which happens to also be opposite the stunning Hawa Mahal, an absolute must see.
Small Boutiques Around the City
There are so many beautifully curated stores scattered across Jaipur. A few of my favourites are:
Tokree - A shop for beautiful and comfortable Indian clothing. They focus on sustaining craft practices and environmental sustainability.
Anantaya - Home furnishings and handcrafted decor made by artisans, they are committed to development, innovation and preservation of traditional craft.
Jaipur Rugs Gallery - Beautifully made rugs that are handmade by artisans that define luxury and elegance.

And with all this comes also a gentle reminder...
To balance all the beauty, colour, and chaos - with stillness and rest.
Allow yourself slow mornings in a quiet cafe to journal and breathe.
Let yourself stay in some evenings, rather than chasing every moment out in the city.
Pause. Reflect.
Give yourself time to take it all in.
Because the slow in between moments are just as meaningful as all the sights.
