As I’m writing this, it’s the second week of September and I’ve just arrived back from a couple of weeks in India - and I can tell you, spring has well and truly sprung. I’m grateful to return to slightly warmer temperatures, longer days, and shorter nights…

On my recent trip to India, I spent some time in Jaipur with our artisan partners and was reminded of the way seasons shape not only the natural world but also our inner worlds. Walking through the bustling streets of the Pink City, the vibrancy was unmistakable - blocks of hand-printed fabric swaying in the breeze, artisans hammering jewellery into intricate forms, and flower market stalls piled high with fresh marigolds. Jaipur felt alive in the same way spring feels alive: full of possibility, creativity, and a sense of beginning again.

Now, back in Melbourne and feeling the freshness of spring in the air, I’m excited to carry this energy into all that’s ahead for Dew & Dawn for the rest of the year. There are some beautiful things in the works, so stay tuned for what’s to come.

This trip (and the arrival of spring) has also inspired me to think about how we might weave more seasonal awareness into our own lives - slowing down to notice the small shifts and marking the changes with intention.

A Few Uplifting Rituals for Spring

If you’re feeling ready to shake off winter’s stillness and invite in freshness, here are a few gentle rituals you might like to try:

  • Clear and refresh your space - open the windows, let the sunlight in, and clear away what feels heavy. Even a small corner refresh can shift the energy.
  • Adorn with flowers - bring seasonal blooms into your home. In Jaipur, marigolds are strung in garlands as offerings of beauty and devotion; perhaps for you it’s a simple vase of wildflowers or a single stem on your bedside.
  • Wear something that feels alive - your favourite piece of Dew & Dawn jewels, something that makes you feel radiant and vibrant! The Sarai earrings are our current favourite spring piece.
  • Renewed morning ritual - step outside with your tea or coffee, feel the sun on your skin, and set a gentle intention for the day.
  • Stay curious - just as spring invites nature to bloom, it invites us to explore new ideas, new places, new ways of being.

Spring is an invitation: to lighten, to renew, and to reconnect with what feels nourishing.

My time in Jaipur was a reminder that beauty and purpose often live in the smallest, simplest rituals.

Here’s to welcoming spring with open hands and a curious heart.

What are your favourite simple rituals for the Spring time?
