As I write this, I’m sitting outside on an early autumn afternoon. It’s not too cold yet, but the days are growing shorter, and the light is a little softer. The mornings are darker, the evenings stretch longer—but there’s a beauty that lingers, a quiet calling to slooooowwww down.

The ability to pause and notice the changing seasons is something I once took for granted. But lately, I’ve been feeling the deep beauty in these shifts—the way nature gently reminds us to move at its pace, to lean into transition rather than resist it.

This year, summer was hot, long, and busy. It’s unlike me to get caught up in the rush, but amidst starting a new business from scratch, working five days a week, and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life—while also craving solitude—I have to admit, I got swept up in it.

So, I’m taking this seasonal change as an invitation to slow down. To be more intentional with my days. I’ve studied and taught Yoga and Ayurveda for years, and autumn has always felt like a time to return to grounding rituals—ones that bring warmth, stability, and presence.

  • Walks in nature as the leaves fall—make sure you’re bundled up, with your ears, hands, and head covered to create that grounded feeling.
  • Nourishment—Soups, stews, curries, anything that’s warm, nourishing, and uses spices to heat you up from the inside out.
  • Warming beverages—Switching out coffee in the morning for chai (I try my best, but coffee always seems to sneak back in).
  • Sound—Dew & Dawn’s calm playlist has been on repeat in my home. Listen to the playlist here.
  • Movement—A yoga practice that heats me up and then allows me to slow down and sit in stillness.
  • Adornment—Choosing a piece of jewellery each day—can become a grounding moment, a small act of presence in the rush of life. Right now, I am consistently reaching for the Sarai ring. It feels grounding and warming, like a circle of gold wrapping gently around my finger.

As the days shorten, morning and evening rituals become even more important. Just as the seasons shift, so do our personal rhythms and style. The Golden Collection was designed to move with you through these transitions—timeless, simple, and beautifully hand-finished, it feels as natural in autumn’s golden light as it does in the height of summer.

I’d love to know—what are your favourite ways to slow down and embrace the shift into autumn?

With love, warmth and intention,
Ruby.
